FAQ

We’re committed to making our working relationship as transparent and straightforward as possible. Still have questions?

Retainers are packages of hours available for a set price. You’re able to use the hours for a wide range of tasks that are billed at an hourly rate.

In the beginning of our working relationship, we estimate the number of hours needed and adjust as we go.

You’re encouraged to use all of your hours within the month in order to not lose them. We work with you on ways to minimize waste, often letting rollover occur in special circumstances.

Unsure of the number of hours you need? A prepaid plan is also available. Buy a package of 10 hours and use within three months.

We provide some products and services based on value, not hours. Website builds, customed-designed drip campaigns, writing services (web copy, social profiles, content writing), data-entry and research projects etc. are priced separately and are not included in a retainer.

Once a budget is agreed upon for the project, a paid retainer can be rolled into the project price as these special projects come up.

We’ll inform you ahead of time if you request something that is not covered.

We’ll discuss the growing task list with you and identify immediate needs according to your budget. A written acknowledgement of the additional work  to be completed by us will be requested if we are to continue beyond the initial scope of work.

You can discontinue your retainer at any time, hassle free. We do ask for at least one month’s notice.

You’re always welcomed to continue with us using our pay-as-you go service.

Most of our services are actually slightly under-priced. Web designers, copy-writers and business consultants charge significantly higher per hour than our listed fees, yet the quality we provide is on par, if not better. All of your work is also under one roof so you don’t have to deal with multiple personalities, procedures and project management software!

It’s also important to distinguish between plug-and-play templated products versus well thought-out, custom- designed originals that were meticulously created to grow with your business. We don’t produce just one-off products.

Our fees reflect a growing  brand vs. tasked-based ad hoc work.

While we’re highly trained and adept at a multitude of technologies, specialized platforms unique only to your organization will be considered billable time.

For a new-to-us software that can be learned as a transferable skill, only 20-30% of the time to learn the software is accounted for.

Yes, for certain projects, if requested. At the beginning of our working relationship, details are provided on how long tasks take or their approximate value. For our own accounting, we keep detailed record of projects particularly if they’re new to us. However, our invoices  include a summary of all the work done without the minute-by-minute record.

Because our team is made up of generalists and highly trained professionals, we tend to provide value-based services. At times, to get the best value for our clients, several team members collaborate on ideas and tasks to complete a project. Our bespoke service sometimes also require back and forth collaboration with you while “on the go” (think voice message) so to put an exact time stamp on this approach is priceless.

If you have a query or concern however, we will provide you with as much details as you want!

You can pay via e-transfer, paypal or credit card. All prices are in Canadian dollars (except where noted).

Pay-as-you go and prepaid plans are paid upfront.

Monthly retainers are billed on the first of each month and are due within seven days.

Project-based work and consulting packages are due 50% on agreement of assignment and 50% when the project is completed.

As much as we like to serve every potential client that contacts us, we’ve learned over the years that implementing promotional activities (think social media, webinars, launching courses, facebook ads) without a tangible marketing plan or digital marketing strategy will be a waste of everyone’s time and money. Before proceeding with our services, we’ll ask you the difficult questions to ensure that a plan is in place and you know where you’re taking your business. We will be delighted to continue with you if a plan and a budget is available or if you’re willing to do the preliminary work first.
