About
Strategic Leadership. Practical Execution.
Meet Nicky Schleihauf
Nicky Schleihauf is the founder of The Assistants and a strategist, operator, educator, and leadership developer with more than 15 years of experience helping entrepreneurs and organizations turn vision into action. Working with small and medium-sized businesses, nonprofit Christian organizations, CEOs, and emerging leaders, she brings an executive-level perspective that considers the organization as a whole, from strategy and leadership to people, systems, culture, and execution.
Her experience spans strategy, operations, marketing, organizational development, project leadership, entrepreneurship, education, mentorship, and ministry leadership, giving her both a broad business perspective and a strong understanding of people.
Nicky helps leaders clarify direction, identify what is getting in the way, strengthen teams and systems, and determine what should be delegated, redesigned, automated, or eliminated. Her approach is highly practical and grounded in the belief that strong leadership requires both sound strategy and the wise stewardship of people, purpose, and responsibility. Strategy must translate into action that produces meaningful results.

The Story Behind The Assistants
The Story Behind The Assistants
The Assistants began with a simple observation: growing organizations often have strong vision and capable leaders, but lack the time, structure, specialized expertise, or execution capacity needed to move important work forward. What began as business and executive support evolved into a broader strategic practice spanning operations, marketing, organizational development, project leadership, technology, and implementation.
As the work expanded, so did the network around it. Over the years, Nicky has built relationships with trusted strategists, operators, designers, marketers, technical specialists, and builders who can be brought into an engagement when their expertise is needed. This includes professionals working in AI, automation, and digital systems, with an emphasis on responsible implementation, governance, safety, and human oversight.
The Assistants is therefore not built around the idea that one person should do everything. It is built around bringing the right expertise to the right problem, while keeping strategy clear, execution coordinated, and complexity under control.
